I Disagree: a short but heartfelt rant dedicated to the poet who currently calls herself Oriah Mountain Dreamer

I went to Beat Night last night in Portsmouth, NH. As always it rocked! The featured readers were Mark Michael Adams and Ellyn Touchette. They were both fantastic, the band was hot as always, and the open mic participants were also really good. I used to go to Beat Night very regularly back in the day. I remember reading a poem about the September 11 attacks at the Beat Night right after they happened. At Larry Simon’s suggestion I read it against a backdrop of silence. This Beat Night, right after the Paris bombings, was not somber at all, but I was tickled to hear Crystal Paradis’ poem about her crepe. I read a poem titled “I Disagree: a short but heartfelt rant dedicated to the poet who currently calls herself Oriah Mountain Dreamer” written by Steve Trombulak, a friend of mine, and the band and I jived to create some good magic. A friend was kind enough to record it using my phone.
